欧盟再次评估果胶和酰胺化果胶作为食品添加剂的安全性

  据欧盟食品安全局(EFSA)消息,应欧委会的要求,7月6日欧盟食品安全局再次评估了果胶和酰胺化果胶作为食品添加剂的安全性并发布意见。

  欧盟专家组经过分析认为,果胶(E 440i)和酰胺化果胶(E 440ii)作为普通食品的添加剂具有一定安全性,在目前的使用范围和使用量下对人体没有安全隐患,无需设置每日允许摄入量(ADI)。

  Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Food Additives and Nutrient sources added to Food (ANS) was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the re-evaluation of pectin (E 440i) and amidated pectin (E 440ii) as food additives. An acceptable daily intake (ADI) 'not specified' was allocated by the Scientific Committee for Food (SCF) for E 440i and E 440ii. Pectin and amidated pectin would not be absorbed intact, but extensively fermented by intestinal microbiota in animals and humans; products formed from pectins in the gastrointestinal tract are similar to manufactured pectin-derived acidic oligosaccharides (pAOS)。
